At sunset, Anakin was brought to Jedi Temple to be tested. After testing the boy and deliberating with one another, the Council refused him to be trained as a Jedi, deeming him too old for training according to the Jedi Code. They were also concerned that they sense much fear in the boy, and that he has a clouded future. Despite Qui-Gon's disagreement and an attempt to go against Council will, he was forbidden to take Anakin as his Padawan learner. The Jedi Council sent the two Jedi to accompany the Queen Amidala back to Naboo, hoping to shed light on any Sith involvement.
